| Customer Keep On Coming Back to John Ellis Garage For 80 years, John Ellis Garage has been a permanent fixture in midtown Sacramento. John Ellis opened his garage in 1927, after working as a mechanic for the W.I. Elliott Company, which sold star cars during the twenties. John Ellis was so good to his customers that many of his customers followed him to his new garage where they continued to have their car repaired for over half a century. John brought his son Dave into the business during the fifties. Both were active in the trade organizations; John as a founder of the Automotive Mechanics Association in the thirties, and Dave as a statewide officer of the Independent Garage Owners. In 1959, Bob Pugh joined the company and took over after both John and Dave passed away. The ongoing success of the garage is due to it's excellent reputation and a lot of hard work. We continue to provide our customers with honest, trustworthy, reliable service and warranty. Bob retired in 2002 as we celebrated our 75th anniversary. We would like to thank everyone that has done business with us. We hope that you will continue to do business with us as we continue to our 100th anniversary. |
